Our broad aims for our pupils are to provide high quality educational opportunities in order to increase knowledge, experiences and understanding. We aim to create a school in which pupils can discover their strengths and talents, love learning and realise their potential.

​Whilst we put English and maths at the heart of our curriculum we believe primary education should be broad and balanced, with a range of ‘first hand’ experiences in order to make the learning process more meaningful to our children. I am particularly passionate about high quality sport, computing and the arts being key drivers for our curriculum. My aim is to develop these areas to the very highest level.

​I am very proud of our children, staff and our achievements. We are a school with energy, that innovates and provides an education for the ‘whole-child’. Our children are loved and cared for, but at the same time challenged to do their best. With excellent facilities, including an in-house outdoor education teacher, a specialist music teacher, our own sports coach and specialist IT teaching we really do provide a high standard of education.

We are ambitious for our children, academically, emotionally and socially. If you visit the school you will see how focused our children are, the kindness and politeness that is shown throughout the school and the feeling of a happy, vibrant community.

All of our teachers take part in ongoing professional development including coaching and developing their teaching through the use of video and peer to peer observations. As a school we are continually moving forward and developing, just like our teacher and subject leaders, and we actively encourage innovation and learning from other schools and education systems, both in the UK and abroad.
