It gives me great pleasure to welcome you as your Headteacher. 

On a personal note, I’m very much looking forward to a productive and exciting academic year, working with the whole school community – pupils, parents, carers, teachers and support staff. 

Here at Meopham, we value children of all abilities and we offer a fully-inclusive environment where they can fulfill their undoubted potential. It is an environment where we will nurture them to become resilient, reflective in all areas of school life. We aim to ensure that all of our students become responsible, confident and articulate young adults the wider community can be proud of. 

Because we are committed to the idea that each and every child who comes through our doors matters, we maintain high expectations of them. Above all, it’s the role of my team and I to create a safe, well-structured learning environment that will inspire them to be whatever they put their imaginative minds to; where they can fulfil their undoubted potential through a highly aspirational culture of positive relationships and challenging lessons. 

As a family man with three children (at the time of writing, my boys are 18, 17 and 11) and as someone who has worked in the education system my entire career, I understand how important it is for children to be part of a first-class school that supports them both educationally and pastorally, regardless of skills or ability. 

There’s no doubt in my mind that the best schools succeed when every stakeholder is engaged with and working towards the same goal and here at Meopham, that’s exactly what I intend to do. We will communicate regularly with you and if there’s anything you need from us, please ask. We are here to help you and your children and we want you all to become part of our Meopham family. 

I’m privileged to lead this school and also to be working with an incredibly talented and passionate staff and we look forward to welcoming you all to a new and exciting school experience.
