Assessment Only Route

We are delighted to offer the Assessment Only route to QTS.  If you have worked as an unqualified teacher, you may be able to get Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)  through our Assessment Only programme.  

To be eligible for this route, you must:

• be able to show you meet the Teachers’ Standards without further training
• have taught in two or more schools across two key stages for a minimum of two years
• hold an undergraduate degree
• hold GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English Language and maths (and science if you wish to teach primary)

Costs for full applications received before 31st May 2026:

£3,000 for a non-partner school and £2,750 for a TKAT School.

Costs for full applications received from 1st June 2026:

£3,200 for a non-partner school and £2,900 for a TKAT School.
